Thanks to the support of a few key organisations and a bunch of inspired and inspiring volunteers our overheads are extremely low. We’ve been offered office space and in-kind support from YMCA Victoria. We’re a volunteer powered organisation which works to make a meaningful difference in the world. When travelling overseas, volunteers fund their own trips. Because we love what we do, and we love working together.
We want people to feel empowered to support charities and social enterprises. Too often we hear people saying they’re sick of their donations being spent on overheads or advertising. We want people to know that we are squeezing everything out of every dollar we get to make sure that your hard-earned money goes straight to the cause.
Our aim is to be 100% transparent with where our money goes. We have tiny overheads because we want to make a giant difference. We are volunteer-powered, we get the best deals, we collaborate, we maintain and support our stakeholders, we work with communities in developing countries and Australia to empower them, because we believe when we work together, everyone wins.
Our 100 per cent model means 100 per cent of our profits supports our education and livelihood partnership programs. We keep overheads tiny through volunteer power, we accept discounts and donations on supplies, utilities and services. We aren’t charged tax due to our status as a registered charity. We are a volunteer-run organisation that believes in the power of working together to make a difference. Through these efforts, we have a maximum impact!
It depends. We’re pretty clear about whether we’re raising money for our social enterprise which will fuel our educational programs or partnerships, or whether money is going directly to our programs. If you don’t want money going towards a sustainable funding model for Co-Ground, then let us know and we’ll make sure your cash goes straight to our education programs.
