Impact Spotlight - Creating Safe Futures
From 2022 to 2025, Co-Ground partnered with local Filipino NGOs, communities and community leaders to design, deliver, and strengthen the Creating Safe Futures: Empowering Women and Protecting Children Program.
Co-designed with local social workers and community organisers, the program set out to raise awareness and education around child abuse and domestic violence developing tailored workshops, peer groups, training tools, and support networks.

In each remote community, groups of mothers were trained as peer educators, equipping them to lead sessions on child and women’s rights. These women returned to their communities to run workshops and establish peer-support networks for those experiencing violence or abuse - creating safe, informed spaces and driving change from within.
This program has been life-changing for hundreds of women and children, with its ripple effect reaching far beyond direct participants — strengthening families and communities.
