Co-Ground believes in the power of community to create locally-led, meaningful and sustainable change.

We are committed to the self-empowerment and self-determination of Indigenous young people. We do this by supporting programs that create a space for connection, culture, confidence, and leadership.

In the Northern Territory, we fund programs driven by, and for, Indigenous young people.

Co-Ground works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and is grateful for the leadership and guidance from proud Garrwa Aboriginal woman, and Co-Ground Board Member, Emma Gavin.

We are empowered communities working together to improve access to education, fresh water, sanitation and local funding. We are a local team of village leaders, teachers, parents, students, farmers, fishermen (and fisherwomen), local builders and volunteers. Our programs are locally developed to address specific local needs.

We are grassroots, but work closely in collaboration with relevant government bodies, including the Vanuatu Department of Education, Department of Fisheries, and provincial Governments.

Our vision is to generate enough local funding to allow our projects to be self-sufficient and to support more communities in Vanuatu and abroad.

Local leadership, skills and capacity-building and strengthening community involvement are key themes for Co-Ground Vanuatu

In the Philippines, we are community leaders, teachers, social workers, volunteers and grassroots community organisers.

We champion locally-led disaster relief projects and long-term community programs based on specific community needs.

Recently, we’ve seen significant challenges for at-risk communities across the Philippines. We have seen communities come together to address these hardships and are proud to support these inspiring efforts and local change-makers.
